All of the pages are narrated by Liz (me) and the narration will vary in
sizewhen I have more pictures, there'll be less text (in theory). Most
photos will have text if you place the cursor over the image. If you click the smaller
images, a larger version will open in a new window.
The collection on this site is only part of the hundreds of photos we
took in Ireland. If you want to see all of them, you need to stop by.

Wednesday morning came. It was time to head out of Kinnitty and drive back to the west coast
to Lahinch. Josh and I went down to breakfast,
packed up our things, and checked out of Kinnitty Castle. It was my turn to drive the through Ireland
and I was ready. And I drove. For about 217 seconds. Then I had enough of Josh cringing in the passenger
seat. I pulled over and he drove for the rest of the vacation.
On the way to Lahinch, we were stopped by cows crossing and construction but found an excellent
radio station, Today FM. And since I couldn't drive,
I decided to take a few pictures.
We made it to Lahinch and found the B&B recommended by Anja and Wolfgangand now recommended
by us.

Lahinch is a surfer town on the west coast and a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher, our destination
for the day. We stopped for lunch in Lahinch. I had bacon and creem cheese wrap and Josh had, I think, smoked
salmon. This meal was the last of the meal photos. I know it's very dissapointing.
The Cliffs of Moher
were breathtaking. We have A LOT more photos at home.
Driving back from the Cliffs of Moher, we were stuck behind a bus in downtown Lahinch. I took some photos
to illustrate how narrow some roads are. Please ignore the dead bugs on the windshield.

We had time to kill so we decided to hang out at the beach. I was moody and Josh looked for rocks and shells.
But of course, I took pictures.
Time for dinner. We went to a pub. I had brie on toast. It was so good and soooo much food. I could only eat half. Josh
had a seafood pasta dish. Reports say it was yummy as well. This was the night for me to try
Guinness. I had been reading up
on Irish cuisine and knew how to properly order the drink. I recieved my half pint and proceeded to drink about an inch
into the glass. The Guinness started out somewhat good but soon turned revolting. But I did it and I will never ever do it again. |
