All of the pages are narrated by Liz (me) and the narration will vary in
sizewhen I have more pictures, there'll be less text (in theory). Most
photos will have text if you place the cursor over the image. If you click the smaller
images, a larger version will open in a new window.
The collection on this site is only part of the hundreds of photos we
took in Ireland. If you want to see all of them, you need to stop by.

At breakfast, we met some of our housematestwo older ladies from Virginia and a couple from Italyand
I had sausage. I hate sausage, it makes me want to vomit. I have this reaction mostly because my grandmother made
it once and she wasn't a very good cook. Her sausage was so bad or I happened to be sick that day, and I did vomit.
So since then, I won't touch breakfast sausage unless it's made from soy and even then, I will sometimes become queasy.
But this sausage! Wow.
And off to Enniskillen we went. If you
look at a map of Ireland, Enniskillen is about an hour from Sligo. So you may be asking yourself, why didn't they
just go to Enniskillen first and then Coleraine? Or just stay in Sligo? Well, there was to be a fair in the
Coleraine/Balley Castle area and we wanted to avoid it, but we wanted to see two attractions in Enniskillen. So
we backtracked like any good gas-guzzling American would do.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, we could only visit one attraction. the
Marble Arch Caves.
But first a stop to our B&B. I do not recommend this B&B. The place was clean and the lady was
relatively nice but we did not have a good experience. We'll just leave it at that.

We went to our third and final cave. This one had a river or stream, depending on your definition, running
through and part of the tour was a boat on the river. The caves were nice, not as good as the Dunmore Cave,
partially because I could not understand a word our tour guide said (which explains why there is no commentary on each photo).
Since these are the only photos I took all day, I'll give you a whole bunch. Don't you feel lucky?
Enniskillen was having a free family faire so we went for something to do. It was cute but I didn't take
any pictures. After, we went to the mall, like good little Americans. I bought a great coat and Josh didn't buy
anything.
For dinner, we made the mistake of eating at the restaurant run by the B&B. Just because you can cook, does not
mean you can run a restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. It was very dissapointing. At that point,
we needed to get out of there. So we went back to Enniskillen to look for dessert and we found it. A little cafe
that had the most amazing desserts. I had a toffee cheesecake that completely and totally made up for the lousy
dinner. I'm still thinking about it. It's amazing what fat and sugar can do to one's outlook on life. |
